Because only few people have talent. You're not an artist because you just draw. You're an artist if your drawings/photos/everything else is well known and loved by people with taste. You're not an artist, because you draw some shitty ass ponies and gazillion of people loves it. So stop calling yourself an artist. I could spot a few of artists just by looking at my friend list, but most of people who submit works here are just doodle-ists, shot-ists (because they don't even take photos, they take quick, shitty shots), drawers.
Before someone complains: I am not an artist too. I draw, I have a few photos (most of them are shots) and I make stamps which aren't art. And, to be honest, they don't belong here. But after they made a category for them, I make these little shits.
