Description

Seriously, what the fuck? I don't understand, why should I use something because somenone wants me to do it? It makes no fucking sense. Websites should be suitable for users, not users for them.

Examples:
Deviantart (some time ago I couldn't normally use it, because it wanted to make me to install a new browser).
Chomikuj.pl (Polish storage website) - it's ugly as fuck now, older browsers can't take it.
Gmail, Google, Youtube - well, do I have to say anything?
etc. etc.

i agree. as a tech expert, people that speak about viruses obviously don't know what they're talking about. i'm sure many would disagree with me, but thats because they too don't know what they're talking about ... lol in practice, what gets you a virus/malware/[unwanted programs doing what they shouldn't], is using the internet inproperly, like clicking on ads, installing scanners that will fix your pc registry.. lol i mean really, is it a good idea to download and run a program from some ad serving domain or some dodgy, unknown place? not being wise enough not to accept any random download dialog box that pops up, not configuring your browser properly in the first place, possibly using an old version of internet explorer with settings out of the box, to browse the internet, not checking the source of your downloads and not seeing that you were given an exe from an ad site instead of a JPEG wallpaper you asked for, etc. being that most typical users download the latest version of the browser and leave it on default settings, they just might already have a couple of security holes enabled to start with...

as for new features being used by sites, as tehnology progresses, unfortunately, one needs updates. for example, earlier browsers were unaware of more advanced html5 stuff and lacked support for some new tehnologies, deviantart switched to those tehnologies, perhaps to make things more faster or act more modern, and if you want to use certain parts of deviantart, you'd have to download a later browser version. then, the developers at mozilla decide to mess up the user interface in [firefox] with australis, and take out half the features, then you go for something like [palemoon] and forget about it for as long as it works exactly as you want it. ( :

it would be nice if there was a well made foundation system, so that you only download the missing tehnology support for your browser core, instead of downloading a whole new version of the program. so you could actually update your browser (core) only when you actually like the new version and want to. that would be a nice system...
